1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Plosion’s marketing website, account experience, website-building tools, customer support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It does not govern a customer website created with Plosion. Each customer is responsible for the privacy practices and notices on their own published website.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, business name, and login credentials.
  • Business and website content, including text, images, branding preferences, business details, prompts, edits, and other material you submit to create or manage a website.
  • Domain information, including the registrant name, organization, postal address, email address, telephone number, requested domain, and information needed to register, connect, renew, or transfer a domain.
  • Transaction information, such as plan, billing status, payment method type, and transaction identifiers. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider; Plosion does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Communications, including support requests, feedback, survey responses, and other messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referring URLs, feature usage, timestamps, diagnostic data, and security events. We may collect this information through logs, cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from payment processors, domain registrars and registries, authentication providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and publicly available sources when needed to provide or protect the Services.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and administer accounts, authenticate users, and provide the Services;
  • generate, edit, host, secure, and publish customer websites;
  • register, configure, renew, and transfer domain names at a customer’s direction;
  • process transactions, send service notices, and provide customer support;
  • monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, improve usability, and develop features;
  • detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
  • comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety; and
  • send product news or offers where permitted. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Plosion may use automated and AI-assisted systems to process the content and instructions you submit so we can generate and improve your requested website. We do not use customer website content to train a publicly available, general-purpose AI model without permission.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as needed to perform our contract with you; to comply with legal obligations; with your consent; and for legitimate interests such as securing, supporting, and improving the Services, preventing fraud, and communicating with you. We balance those interests against your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. How we share information

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers that support payments, hosting, content delivery, security, analytics, communications, customer support, authentication, and AI-assisted features. They may process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their contracts and applicable law.
  • Domain providers, including registrars, registries, and technical vendors, when necessary to register or manage a domain. Domain registration data may be disclosed as required by ICANN rules, registry policies, law, or the applicable provider.
  • Professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, claims, audits, safety, fraud prevention, or protection of rights.
  • A successor organization in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent, including when you publish information to a customer website.

Plosion does not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected. We may retain de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting access to your account.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority where applicable.

To make a request, email help@plosionbranding.com. We may verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. Where allowed, you may use an authorized agent. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain storage may affect essential account or site functions. Because there is not yet a uniform standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. We honor legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.

9. International use

Plosion operates from the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.

10. Children

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or the law. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
